The Peeth dates back to Satyug when the Goddess Kalika had incarnated and killed ‘Raktbeejasur’ along with other Giants. Even Lord Krishna had worshipped here with Pandavas not only before going for the battle of ‘Kurukshetra’ but also after winning the battle.
