There are many Gurudwara in Delhi and I feel the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib has a historic significance. This gurdwara is situated near Parliament House in New Delhi. After Sikh military leader Baghel Singh captured Delhi which led to the construction of several Sikh religious shrines within the city.
This Gurudwara was build to commemorate the memories of ninth Sikh guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur was cremated here after his execution under orders of Aurangzeb.
Thus, this gurudwara has more of historical significance and still this Gurudwara is actively used by the people.
You can feel the calmness among the busy streets of Delhi only in the places like parks and temples.
