New Era of Automobiles: The Flying car

In today's world, very small spaces are left where technology is not required. In search of better lives, the human mind has been consistently involved in finding a better new. In the late 1800s, the automobile was first invented in Germany and France and since then the science of automobiles has reached beyond limits. From cycles to scooters to bikes and from Nano to BMW huge growth can be seen in automobiles catching up to match expectations of living standards. Everyone has read somewhere or the other that in the future the sky will consist of flying cars and we are close to realizing it.

A flying car, also known as hovercars is a type of personal vehicle that can travel through both road and air. It can be used to provide door-to-door transport. A practical flying car must be safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly. It must be easy to use for normal people and it is expected that a flying car doesn't require a qualified pilot. It should be available at affordable costs and comfortable for personal use. The innovation of flying cars didn't just start in the last decade. In fact, many prototypes have been built since the early 20th century, using a variety of flight technologies. 

 Klein Vision  Aircar: The first flying car to complete inter-city flight 

Aircar has become the first automobile to take long-distance travel both by road and air. It is a dual-mode aircraft which took its flight on 28th June. This aircraft achieved a major milestone by taking a 35-minute flight from the international airport in Nitra to the international airport in Bratislava. The car is patented by Klein Vision, invented by Professor Stefan Klein, founder and CEO of R&D Company and co-founder, Anton Zajac. The car was driven by Stefan Klein and Anton Zajac, completed its 142nd successful landing in Bratislava on 28th June. 

AirCar Specifications

The hybrid car is equipped with a 160 HP BMW engine and runs on regular petrol pump fuel. The company claims that the aircar has completed 40 hours of test drive including stability and manoeuvering tests. It can fly about 1000 km(600 miles) at a height of 8200 ft with a maximum speed of 190 km/hr. The aircraft can carry two people with a combined weight of 200 kg. The inventor of the car said that right after the car lands on the tarmac it gets transformed into a machine that can be described as a large sports car. This transformation takes about three minutes.

Professor Stefan Klein said that this is a new era of automobiles and transportation vehicles. He believes that this aircraft is a result of enthusiasm, innovative spirit and courage. Excellent knowledge and engineering led this aircraft a great success. This aircar has turned science-fiction into reality, Anton Zajac added.
