1. Basant Panchami or Vasant Panchami is a Hindu festival celebrating Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music and art.
2. It is celebrated throughout the India.
3. It is celebrated every year on the fifth day (Panchami) of the 'Maagh' month according to Hindu Calander.
4. Basant Panchami marks the end of the winter season and it marks the beginning of spring.
