'World Human Rights Day' is celebrated on 10th December every year worldwide. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted on 10 December 1948. Since then this date is therefore celebrated all over the world every year as Human Rights Day.Human Rights Day commemorates the work of human rights organizations and all those people with consistent efforts and defend the human rights worldwide. In India the celebration of Human Rights Day on December 10, gives us an opportunity to judge the accountability to human rights standards. Human Rights Day has a theme every year. Some of these themes have focused on people knowing their human rights or the importance of human rights education.
